Why Canned Cold Brew & Cold Brew Lattes?
Share
Here at Open Seas Coffee we are constantly looking for ways to bring quality and consistency to our wholesale partners, web customers, and the communities beyond. Producing a canned cold brew with our co-packer allowed us to share a product that reflects how we like to drink and display our cold brew.
In the summer of 2025 we released our very first canned product - the original Open Seas Cold Brew. We worked with our co-packer to trial different TDS concentrations and coffee to find one that delivered and we were stoked with the results!
Since then, we have been dreaming up and trialing new canned products to find the perfect pairing to our original black cold brew. The Citrus Cream Canned Latte came about while the Open Seas Crew were experimenting with mixing just about everything we had available to us together to see if anything felt inspiring.
We pulled out a bottle of the Orange Creamsicle Rooibos Tea Concentrate from our friends at Maya Tea and mixed it with our black cold brew and our eyes lit up. It was bold, sweet, and so original! Then just for fun we thought, what if we could make this creamy? In went the oat milk and sure enough it was a hit.
We sent the coffee and concentrate off to be blended up and trialed and the samples we got back made our decision easy. The Citrus Cream Latte was born. We're confident the Summer of 2026 will be the season of citrus as soon as you try it! It tastes like an orange cream popsicle, bringing all of the nostalgia to this adult coffee beverage.
Our original Open Seas Cold Brew cans have also been revamped this year! This rendition is an all Nicaraguan coffee blend and smoother than ever. Make sure to check out the can labels for info about our sourcing partners, caffeine content, and anything else you could hope to know about your coffee.
We hope both of these canned coffee options find their way into your fridge and into your hearts this summer and all year long!
Can Features
Shelf Stable: No need to store these in fridge - just chill or pour over ice to serve. Due to the heat pasteurization process of canning both of these products are shelf stable without a bunch of added preservatives! Check the bottom of the cans for their expiration date.
Sustainably Sourced: Our sourcing partners in Nicaragua produce coffee at the absolute highest quality! Their farms, though not certified, are operating far above organic standards and are supporting their community and environment in big ways.
Ready-to-Drink: You don't need to add a thing to these beverages! The black cold brew can be customized to however you prefer to drink your coffee, and due to it's caffeine content we recommend sipping it slow, or splitting it into two servings.
